EMERG is a four-piece alt-rock band from St. Catharines, Ontario, driven by a rare combination of youth, ambition, and relentless momentum. With every member still under 21, the band has quickly built a reputation for pairing thoughtful songwriting with energetic live performances, earning attention both locally and abroad, including recognition from CLASH Magazine in the UK and airplay on 97.7 FM.
Drawing inspiration from Big Wreck, Matthew Good Band, and The Glorious Sons, EMERG blends classic Canadian alt-rock influences with a modern edge. In less than a year, the band independently released a full-length album, an EP, and two standalone singles. The band's catalog continues to gain momentum, with "Star Song" becoming a staple on college and university radio stations, helping expand EMERG’s reach across young audiences. "Don't Talk Too Loud" received commercial radio airplay on 97.7 FM, further strengthening the band’s presence on Ontario airwaves. Meanwhile, "Band Tee" and "Poor Guy" have found strong success on streaming platforms, becoming one of the band’s most listened to releases and contributing to their growing digital audience.
Building on that success, EMERG is currently recording its sophomore album with Steve Kirstein, marking an important step in the band's artistic growth. Their rapid output, independent approach, and commitment to constant development have positioned them as one of the most promising young acts in Ontario's rock scene.
Their momentum extends beyond the studio. Over the past year, EMERG has performed more than 50 live shows and demonstrated a growing ability to draw audiences, selling out five performances at 200-capacity venues across Ontario. The band has shared stages with Ryan Perdz and Altered By Mom, while also earning a spot at the prestigious NXNE, one of Canada's premier showcases for artists. As a new generation of rock musicians emerges, EMERG is helping lead the charge. Despite being decades younger than many of their peers, the band has already matched, and often surpasses the output, work ethic, and live performance schedule of artists twice their age. With growing radio support, proven ticket-selling success, a rapidly expanding and young fanbase, and a cross-provincial tour planned for 2026, EMERG is quickly establishing itself as one of Canada's most exciting young voices in modern rock.
